"Diary of a Beauty Queen" Synopsis

Time: 1964
Location: Clarksville, a small Southern town.


The play revolves around the annual Miss Clarksville Pageant. Anyone who wins the title becomes an instant celebrity in this small southern town. 

Six contestants are vying for the crown and must compete in talent, swimsuit and evening gown. These girls have entered the pageant for various reasons, perhaps dated, but significant during this period. Because the title is their best ticket out of Clarksville each contestant is desperately trying her best to win. 

Many obstacles challenge the contestants during the pageant causing each girl to re-evaluate their goals in life.
